Acceptable Use & Sending Policy

Outsquid is built for relevant, one-to-one outreach to people you have a reason to contact. This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It protects the people you email, your own sender reputation, and every other customer who shares our infrastructure.

You must

  • Have a lawful basis to contact every person you email, under the laws that apply to you and to them (for example CAN-SPAM, GDPR, PECR, CASL).
  • Send from your real identity: an accurate sender name and address, and a way to reach you.
  • Honour every opt-out. Outsquid adds an unsubscribe link and a one-click unsubscribe header to campaign emails and stops every campaign for anyone who unsubscribes; don't remove these, work around them, or re-import people who opted out.
  • Keep your lists clean and your content relevant to the recipient.

You must not

  • Buy, rent, scrape or otherwise acquire email lists from third parties without the recipients' permission.
  • Email people who have opted out, or addresses on your blacklist.
  • Send phishing, malware, fraud, deceptive subject lines or content, or anything illegal.
  • Impersonate another person or company, or forge headers.
  • Send adult content, or promote illegal goods or services.
  • Try to get around Outsquid's limits or safeguards, for example by spreading one campaign across many accounts.

What Outsquid does automatically

  • Pacing: each mailbox sends within its daily and hourly limits, with random gaps between emails; new mailboxes ramp up gradually.
  • Bounce guard: a campaign whose bounce rate climbs too high is paused so a bad list can't keep damaging your domain.
  • Opt-outs everywhere: an unsubscribe stops the person in every campaign in your organization and adds them to your blacklist.
  • Monthly limits: sending stops when your plan's monthly email limit is reached.

Enforcement

If we see signs of abuse, such as high bounce or complaint rates, reports from recipients or mailbox providers, or content that breaks this policy, we may pause your campaigns, limit sending, or suspend the account. Where reasonable we will contact you first.

Reporting abuse

Received an unwanted email sent through Outsquid? Use its unsubscribe link, and report it to [TBD: abuse@ address] with the full email (including headers) if you can. We investigate every report.
